A new day

What a great day!! Gidget has decided that she can feed herself!!!! And, a couple of the puppies are starting to eat. Gael wolfed food down this afternoon. I tried a different recipe. Just put kibble in hot water with dried milk replacer (they will not touch the goat's milk) and a bit of rice cereal to thicken once the kibble had softened. They still don't have many teeth but evidently can gum the smooshy kibble. They seem to like it better than the blended stuff so I'll stick with that. They will also lick at Gidget's food. Not really eating but investigating. She lets them. I am always anxious that she'll get protective but she is such a great mother.

I got my husband to try to take individual photos today. I haven't had much luck getting any in the pen so wanted to try to get something better. Not sure if these are an improvement. Next time I think I'll get out my better camera and see if we can do better. In the meantime, here they are at 4 1/2 weeks. (OOPS, just realized we missed Peeta and they are all sacked out right now. Will take better photos tomorrow)

(really not a good photo. Her face looks more like Haymitch to me)
