I mixed up a "mousse" of milk replacer, dry food and baby rice cereal. When they woke up from their mid morning nap, I put Gidget out (she was not a happy camper) and offered a bit of the mush on the end of my finger to each puppy. They seemed to like it and lapped it off my finger but showed no interest at all in trying to eat it out of the bowl. After they each had a chance to lap some up several times, I let Gidget back in (she was having a fit outside the ex pens) and she ate the rest of the mess as well as clean up the puppies.
Earlier this morning, several pups climbed out of the box. Haymitch kept getting out and I finally left him. He crawled under a quilt at one time and I couldn't find him. Scared me a bit but as Gidget loved to crawl under the covers and i've noticed the propensity to do that in a couple of the puppies, I guess it's to be expected. Here's a photo of Gidget this morning finding a place to burrow in the clean laundry i had in a chair.
